Problems We Solve

The capability gaps L&D, graduate recruitment and investment teams most often bring to us.

  1. 01

Graduates know the theory but stall on live work

New joiners can define EBITDA but struggle to build, check and explain a model under deal pressure. We teach from real filings and real transactions so the jump to the desk is shorter.

  2. 02

Models are mechanically right and commercially empty

A model that balances is not the same as a model that supports a decision. Every course ties the build back to drivers, scenarios and the recommendation it has to support.

  3. 03

Teams need deal-ready valuation, M&A and LBO capability

From LBO returns and value-creation levers to spin-offs and Reverse Morris Trusts, we cover the structures teams meet on live mandates, not just the textbook cases.

  4. 04

AI tools are licensed, but workflows have not changed

Most firms have rolled out an assistant. Few have changed how research, modelling and review actually get done. We train on the work itself, with verification built in.

  5. 05

Sector knowledge is too generic for investment decisions

Healthcare, technology and industrials each have their own KPIs, value drivers and valuation conventions. Sector teach-ins give teams the specific frame they need.

  6. 06

Strong analysis fails to become a clear recommendation

Analysis only matters if it lands with an investment committee, a client or a board. We train the equity story and the presentation as seriously as the spreadsheet.

From Workshops to Full Training Programmes

We design and run complete programmes as well as individual courses: needs analysis, curriculum design, delivery and the follow-through that makes the skills stick.

  1. Step 1

    Diagnose

We start with the audience, their baseline, the work they actually do and what the programme has to change.

  2. Step 2

    Design

We build a curriculum from our modules, or adapt your existing one, pitched at the cohort's level and set in your sector.

  3. Step 3

    Deliver

Case-led, hands-on sessions: delegates attempt the exercise first, then we work through the solution together.

  4. Step 4

    Embed

Templates, worked solutions and follow-up sessions so the skills carry over to live work after the programme ends.

Questions Buyers Ask

Who are the programmes designed for?

Investment banks, private equity, private credit, hedge funds and asset managers, venture capital, family offices and corporate finance teams. Programmes run from graduate intakes to senior professionals and leadership teams.

Can a programme be customised?

Yes. Every course is tailored to the counterpart, cohort and desk. Modules can be taken on their own or combined into a programme built around your team's objectives, sector and experience level.

Can courses be combined into an analyst academy?

Yes. A typical academy runs from Accounting and 3-Statement Modelling through Advanced Modelling, valuation, M&A or LBOs, with AI workflows and communication layered in. We can also work from your existing internal curriculum.

Do you deliver in person and virtually?

Both, and hybrid. We are based in London, deliver on site for clients elsewhere, and run virtual programmes for distributed teams. Cohorts can be as small as two delegates.

Do programmes include exercises and pre-work?

Exercises are built into every course, using templates and real company filings. Pre-work, knowledge checks and post-course assessments can be added where the programme calls for them.

Can examples be adapted to our sector?

Yes. We specialise in healthcare, technology and industrials, and adapt case studies and models to the sectors your team covers.

Do you train non-finance teams?

Yes. Accounting 101 is designed for non-finance professionals as well as new analysts, and finance fundamentals can be pitched for corporate, product and commercial teams.

What does training cost?

Pricing depends on the scope, duration and cohort, and is available on enquiry. Send us the audience and objectives and we will come back with a proposal.

How do we request a proposal?

Book a discovery call or email surojit.chakraverti@3wavecap.com with the audience, approximate cohort size, timing and what the programme needs to achieve.

Discuss a programme

Tell us who the programme is for, roughly how many delegates, and what they need to be able to do afterwards. We will come back with a proposed structure and outline.
