The process has five layers: (1) research memory, so every thesis, filing, transcript and post-mortem improves the next piece of work; (2) diligence discipline, with every idea run through the same core questions (what matters, what changed, what is priced, what would prove us wrong); (3) primary-source gravity, keeping filings, transcripts, datasets and market signals at the centre of the workflow; (4) parallel work, with the machine reading, comparing, summarising and testing in parallel so more questions get asked before a view hardens; (5) scenario work, stressing growth, margins, multiples, timing and downside cases before capital is committed. Principles: process over outcome; consensus as a starting point (consensus is often right — the question is whether price, evidence and timing still line up); kill criteria defined before entry; causal reasoning over pattern-matching; human accountability on every investment decision; and a system that treats external content as input, not instruction. AI augments the research; it does not replace professional judgment and nothing constitutes investment advice.
